Hello everyone!
83 days until I leave for Switzerland, just under 3 months! Wow time is sure going fast now. Some very exciting things have happened over the past while. Last Monday we booked my flights to Zürich, I skyped with my first host family (The Haymoz's) about two and a half weeks ago which was just amazing. They are so kind and funny, I cannot wait to meet them in person.
I will be leaving Canada August 5th and arriving in Switzerland the next morning. Every single day I get nearing I become more excited. Over the past week it has really sunk into my head that I will not be living on Vancouver Island anymore for a whole year!
This past week one of my exchange students (Madita)'s father visited from Germany. We had so much fun with him. He and Maddy went to Tofino for a few days then he came and stayed with us. I think he enjoyed Courtenay and we had a great time hearing stories of when Maddy was a little girl and the mischivious things she got up to! I did get to practice some German with them, and I understood quite a bit while the two were talking.
